ABOUT THE GROW PLACE
OUR HISTORY
The Grow Place was founded on December 2, 2018.
In November 2018, a group of frustrated, broken, disappointed people showed up for an impromptu meeting in Apostle Leonette Collins' living room. They shared their sentiments and testimonies of being forever DONE with the church. After much prayer and feeling the nudge from God, Apostle surrendered to the call, realizing the need for a safe place for God's people to heal. Apostle accepted her rightful place as Founder and Senior Pastor of The Grow Place. As Apostle Collins already had a registered 501(c)(3) under the name Incorruptible Seed Worship Center (ISWC), The Grow Place was quickly birthed as a subsidiary of ISWC. Quickly outgrowing the first location at a dance studio, The Grow Place has expanded into a funeral home, shared spaces with another ministry, now to our very own building. God has been faithful and continues to show up and show out for The Grow Place.

THE VISION
What we see…
-
We see a church so in love with Christ that they are no longer comfortable with the world as it’s known, but are gripped by a vision to fulfill the Great Commission.
-
We see a church passionate for the nations, living and giving generously to fulfill the Great Commission.
-
We see our own sons and daughters going to the ends of the earth to share the truth of the Word of God.
-
We see every covenant partner of our church empowered to fulfill a personal life mission in the world.
-
We see unreached people trusting in Christ, becoming disciples, and 5-fold ministry leaders such as: Evangelists, Teachers, Pastors, Prophets and Apostles; upon the Lord’s leading and appointment.
-
We see formerly unreached persons reaching the remaining unreached persons through outreach and evangelism.
-
We see churches being planted at the ends of the earth where Christ is treasured, His Word being taught by well-trained indigenous pastors and people are being transformed by the power of God.
-
We see nations being overturned by the love of Christ.
OUR COMMITMENT
-
We are committed to planting and reproducing cross-cultural churches where local leadership is disciple to the point of being able to train their own future leaders.
-
We are committed to creating healthy partnerships and networking with other like-minded churches and organizations who can help us accomplish our global mission.

We will work hard to meet not only the spiritual needs of those to whom we minister, but also taking a holistic approach to meet their physical, mental and emotional needs as well.

WHAT WE BELIEVE
THE BIBLE
We believe that the Bible is the Word of God and contains one harmonious and sufficiently complete system of doctrines.
We believe in the full inspiration of the Word of God. We hold the Word of God to be the only authority in all matters and assert that no doctrine can be true or essential, if it does not find a place in this Word.
DIVINE HEALING
We believe in and practice divine healing. We believe that healing by faith in God has scriptural support and ordained authority. It is a commandment of Jesus to the Apostles (St. Mark 16:15). St. James’ writing in his epistle encourages elders to pray for the sick, lay hands upon them, and anoint them with oil. The prayers with faith shall heal the sick and the Lord shall raise them up.
THE ONENESS OF GOD
We believe that Jesus is the Son of God, born of a virgin called Mary. (Matthew 1:8) We believe that Jesus was and is eternal in His person and nature is the Son of God who was with God in the beginning of creation (St. John 1:1). We believe that Jesus was both fully human and is fully God. (Colossians 2:9) He is co-equal in Wisdom, Power and Holiness with the Father, and through His atonement the world is saved from sin and reconciled to God.
HOLY COMMUNION
We believe in the ceremony instituted by Jesus on the night of His betrayal (I Corinthians 11:23- 29). We eat bread and drink form a cup. The “bread” represents the Body of Christ broken for us. It symbolizes His sacrificial death on the cross. The “cup” represents the Book of Christ shed for the forgiveness of our sins. It established a new covenant relationship between God and us.
THE SECOND COMING OF CHRIST
We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the sign and seal of speaking in tongues, as recorded in Acts 2:4, 19:6, 10:46. We do not believe that we are baptized with the Spirit in order to be saved and become the sons of God, but that we are baptized with the Holy Spirit because we ARE saved and ARE THE SONS OF God. We hold that we are saved by being born of the Spirit, not baptized with the Spirit.
